In this 4 part workshop you’ll learn how to build a layered textile landscape of your choice. You will select a photo or picture of a landscape that inspires you. From there we can create glowing skies, rippling water, textured hills and lively stitched grasses. We’ll play with simple curved piecing, applique, free-motion, hand stitching and different types of embellishment to bring your landscape to life. The final piece will be 10”-14” tall and around 10” wide. In week 1 we will discuss the type of landscape to look for or to adapt to use. We will discuss the fabric choices you can make (but really you should use up what you have) and talk about quilting and embellishing.
